CNSS Morocco: registration, AMO, certificates and online services

Start any CNSS procedure by identifying your insurance scheme and personal registration number. MaCNSS is the insured person’s service; Damancom handles employer procedures. Having a registration number does not by itself establish entitlement to every benefit.

Employee registration and employer affiliation

Employer affiliation identifies the business; personal registration identifies the insured worker. Before starting a new job, look for your number on CNSS documents or earlier payslips. Give it to your employer to avoid an unnecessary duplicate application.

For a first registration, prepare identification and the information requested by the CNSS form for your circumstances. Ask the employer to confirm the application. Use the current official form for the complete document list: registering a dependant or a self-employed person may require different evidence.

Checking declarations and contributions

Compare the relevant month, declared days and recorded salary with your payslip. Creating a second account will not correct a discrepancy. Ask payroll to check its declaration first.

There is no single contribution percentage covering everyone and every benefit. Contribution bases, ceilings and insurance branches can differ. For self-employed workers, the occupational category and applicable assessed income are particularly relevant. Turnover, disposable income and the contribution base are not necessarily the same amount.

Keep payment notices, receipts and period references. Match a recent payment to the correct instalment before assuming that the account is up to date.

AMO: entitlement and reimbursement are separate checks

AMO concerns medical insurance. Family allowances, income-replacement benefits and pensions are separate benefits with their own conditions. A registration certificate is therefore not a medical payment authorisation.

Check entitlement status, the beneficiary’s identity and the registration of any dependants concerned. Keep a copy of medical claims, proof of submission, the reference and date. A reimbursement based on a reference tariff can differ from the bill paid. Request the calculation breakdown before concluding that there has been an error.

Using MaCNSS and Damancom

Access services through the official CNSS website or the official addresses listed below. MaCNSS provides functions including declaration and claim tracking and certificates available to the signed-in profile. Damancom handles employer operations; a worker’s credentials do not replace company authorisation.

Before downloading a certificate, establish its exact required name, covered period and identity details. A screenshot of your account is not necessarily an accepted substitute.

Common problems and useful next steps

Problem Practical response
Forgotten password Use official recovery and check the registered contact details
Missing salary or period Gather payslip, contract and dates; contact payroll, then CNSS
Incorrect identity Request correction with supporting identification
Stalled claim Ask for the specific reason and missing documents
Branch assistance needed Check the official directory or MaCNSS for location and hours

Describe a specific issue in any complaint and retain its tracking number. Confirm individual conditions and deadlines with CNSS: general information cannot determine the outcome of a personal claim.

Common questions

Do I need a new number when changing employers?

Find and provide your existing number. If there is a duplicate or uncertainty, ask CNSS to verify your identity before requesting another registration.

Does MaCNSS replace Damancom?

No. MaCNSS serves insured people, while Damancom is intended for employer procedures.

Is every medical bill reimbursed in full?

No. Reimbursement depends on entitlement, the treatment, coverage rules and the applicable reference tariff.
